About the Department of Ravi Tawi Irrigation , Jammu

Established in the year 1974-75. The prime function of RTIC department is to create irrigation potential under the command of Ravi & Tawi Canals falling in districts of Kathua, Samba & Jammu and to provide the irrigation water to farmers for Rabi & Kharif crops. The department maintains existing irrigation infrastructure and also creates more irrigation potential by conceiving and executing new irrigation projects.
